Chesterfield's Organic Demonstration Garden

We are starting our weekly workshops at the garden again in March. This was decided to allow some of the main construction jobs to be completed before we welcome many new visitors. These sessions will be aimed at people with an interest but limited knowledge of the subjects covered, there will be content for people with some knowledge and for absolute beginners. We particularly welcome new gardeners and children to our sessions. The sessions will usually last for between 1 hour and 1 hour 30minutes unless otherwise stated.

SUNDAY 8th APRIL 1.30pm – What to do in the garden in April?
This will be a demonstration, discussion and practical session looking at the jobs you could or should be doing in your garden at home during the month of April.

SUNDAY 15th APRIL 1.30pm – Bird Box Building

This year we ask for a nominal minimum donation of £2.00 per participant in the workshops to contribute to the funding of our charity garden. And, if the workshop involves materials or things you will take away we you to contribute to these costs as well.

Other regular activities being planned to begin in the early season include groups for people with an interest in Tai Chi, Drawing, Needle Craft and a regular ‘Curry Club’ using fresh vegetables from the garden. We also plan to have our Pizza Oven in operation on a regular basis this year!
